Description

Nurofen Express Maximum Strength 400mg Tablets contain Ibuprofen (as sodium dihydrate). This medicine provides relief by changing the body's response to pain, swelling and high temperature. Nurofen Express Maximum Strength 400mg Tablets are used for the relief of:

Headache
Period pain
Dental pain
Muscle pain
Backache
Symptoms of colds and flu
High temperature (fever)

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase this product.

How to use

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

Directions
Adults, the Elderly and children over 12 years old:

Take 1 tablet with a glass of water up to 3 times a day if required.
Leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not take more than 3 tablets in 24 hours.
This medicine is for short-term use only. You should take the lowest dose for the shortest time necessary to relieve your symptoms. If your symptoms do not improve within 3 days consult your doctor.
If your symptoms persist or the pain worsens, or any new symptoms occur, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Hazards and Cautions

Do not take Nurofen Express Maximum Strength 400mg Tablets if you:

Are allergic to any of the ingredients of Nurofen Express Maximum Strength 400mg Tablets
Are allergic to aspirin or to other painkillers
Have experienced shortness of breath, worsening of asthma, allergic rash or an itchy, runny nose or swelling of the lips, face, tongue or throat when taking ibuprofen, codeine, aspirin or other similar medicines
If you are taking other regular medication, other NSAID’s or pain killers
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars (e.g. fructose)
Have ever had stomach bleeding or perforation after taking ibuprofen, aspirin or other similar medicines
Have or have had a stomach or duodenal ulcer, perforation or bleeding, or other stomach or bowel problems
Suffer from severe kidney or liver problems
Have severe heart failure
Are pregnant or elderly
Are under 12 years of age

Ibuprofen can pass in very small concentrations into the breast milk. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you are breast-feeding.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, or if you have a medical condition. Some other medicines may affect or be affected by the treatment of Nurofen (Ibuprofen). Nurofen (Ibuprofen) may not be suitable for you if you have a medical condition such as those listed in the Patient Information Leaflet. You should therefore always seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist before you use Nurofen (Ibuprofen).

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Seek immediate medical attention in the case of an overdose.

Storage
This medicinal product does not require any special storage precautions.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the outer carton and blister pack. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.

Precautions
This is a medicine;
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist
• Seek advice before using if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding or suffer from allergies
